Well, it's been exactly a month since I posted to this blog. What on earth have I been doing in that time? Well, I guess the big piece of news is that I got a car! It's been so wonderful. I can't even begin to tell you how much I appreciate having transportation. Other than that, I have been spending my time in class, in a practice room, in my apartment, or doing various things with my fellow Kappa Kappa Psi brothers. This past weekend, we drove up to Shippensburg, PA. That was a blast. I also took my first solo road trip on Sunday. I had a rather large urge to go to UVA, so I got in my car and drove. First of all, let me say that I am thrilled that I handled it well. Most importantly, though, the trip rejuvenated me more than I can say. I saw my little Katie and we got to catch up a little. I also got to see Allison, whom I hadn't seen in NINE years. That was amazing, as you can imagine. I also got to briefly see Sarah, Emily, Andrew, Glen, Scott Perry, Keelah, Kate, Andrew Marshall, the wonderful David Vaughan, my favorite April, and the soon-to-be-gone Brian. Other exciting news: I got to talk to Dave in Hawaii after months of trying to track him down. That made me very happy. It's nice to know that some friendships can last. I hope that I can go down for a whole weekend this month and see everyone, but if not, I'll definitely be down April 8th for the Virginia Women's Chorus alumni reunion weekend/Anniversary concert. Can't wait!!

Tonight, I attended a meeting of the Christian Student Union here at SU. They had a guest praise band, Grace 101, come in and lead the worship service. I am glad I went. I was reminded of how often I see grace at work every day. I think so often we get so caught up in ourselves and our daily struggles that we forget to see the glory around us. I wish I could share with you how often I see God at work. I am afraid, though, that this would be a very long post if I did. Still, I challenge each of you to look for those daily miracles, and then if you want, feel free to share them with me. Or, better yet, just write them down and thank God that you witnessed them. There is so much beauty and grace and light in the world. I hope you see it. Namaste
