Sun, Surf and Sand

Beach week was amazing! I just got back yesterday, and I must say that I had a great time. I drove down to Duck, NC on Saturday with Bethany, Caroline and April. The trip was fun, but it took a really long time to get there. We got stuck in a lot of traffic, and we almost hit a bike that had fallen off a car in front of us, but we made it safely, if a little later than we had anticipated. The house we stayed at was gorgeous. There were three levels. The top floor had the kitchen, dining and living areas, a bedroom, a bathroom, and a computer room with a day bed. There was a balcony, too, where you could look out at the ocean. The second floor had five bedrooms, I think, and the washer and dryer. Two of the rooms opened out onto another balcony that housed the hot tub. On the bottom floor, where I was, were two bedrooms, two bathrooms, an entertainment center with couches, a mini kitchenette, and a pool table. Outside was the pool and access to the boardwalk. You can just imagine how it felt to be in such luxury. I went swimming in the pool nearly every day. It was too cold to swim in the ocean, but I enjoyed walking and reading on the beach. And I saw several dolphins. :) I also went in the hot tub three of the nights. That was fun. I read two books, and started a third, watched movies, enjoyed some good food, played mini golf (poorly, I might add,) learned to play pool, and kicked the computer's butt in Smash Brothers. It was a great week of relaxation and sun. I came back tanner and blonder, too. :) Many thanks to Sasha for planning the whole thing, and shout outs to my Wesley Peeps for a FANTASTIC week!! I love you guys!

My parents arrive today, and my brother gets here tomorrow night, though unfortunately, not in time for the graduation party. :( I am sooo excited about seeing him again. I don't think I've seen my twin since Winter break. Sad! In the meantime, I have LOTS of packing to do before they get here. Yuck.

Thankfully, my grades turned out much better than I was expecting. So, that's good. I am really proud of myself for doing so well here at UVA. I worked really hard, and I am happy that it paid off. I don't mean to sound like I am bragging, I am just saying that I am giving myself credit for the work I did. Anyway....

Graduation is Sunday, and then I will be going home. I have soooo much to do before camp starts. And I am anxious to see all the redecorating that my mom has been doing on the house. We even have a new patio in the backyard. It will be sad knowing that Mittens isn't there, but hopefully my friends will let me play with their pets. I can't wait to see my friends again. I miss you all! AHS gang, we'll have to get together for a post-graduation party. And Tammy, if you come home at all, let me know. I miss you! Well, speaking of all the things I have to do before my parents get here, I better get started. I love you all, and I promise to update this again soon. Wahoo Wah!

Freedom!!

I am officially done with college!! It is such a nice feeling to be done with exams, though I am not sure I am going to do as well as I would like. But, my Mom keeps telling me that it's ok, so maybe I should start listening to her. At any rate, I am graduating and going on to grad school, and that's all that's really important. I just thought I would let you all know that I am sooo happy I got to know you guys. These past four years have taught me so much, and I am so thankful for your friendship. I love you guys!! I promise to keep updating this next year so you all know what's happening in my life. Congratulations on a fantastic year!
I love you!
